Ryan Moan, a 33-year-old Connecticut school resource officer, was found dead by suicide around the time news broke that he'd been arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, Daily Voice has learned.
The 33-year-old Coventry resident was found having suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a vehicle at the Hatch Hill Road boat launch in Vernon around 1:45 p.m., Vernon Police Chief Marc F. Petruzzi said.

New York and Connecticut residents can breathe easier: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield has reversed its decision to impose time limits on anesthesia coverage during procedures, officials announced Thursday, Dec. 5.
The policy, initially set to take effect on Feb. 1, 2025, would have capped anesthesia coverage if a procedure exceeded an arbitrary time limit, regardless of medical necessity, according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Two people are facing charges after a 3-year-old was left in an idling vehicle that was stolen from a Connecticut gas station parking lot this week, including the child's mother, police said.
