After it was discovered that a beloved Massachusetts teacher had been fighting cancer for years, her community came together to help raise support for her and her family. Worcester County resident Kara Sullivan Wroblewski has been loved by her community for quite some time. A 28-year-old woman who was a member of the Army National Guard and her 11-year-old daughter have been identified as the two killed in Worcester on Tuesday, March 5. Chasity Nunez and her daughter Zella Nunez were shot and killed inside their car in the area of Lisbon Street at Englewood Avenue around 3 p.m. Chasity leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter named Isla, reports said. Support Pours In For Massachusetts Cop Battling Stage 4 Cancer
Support has been pouring in for a Massachusetts police officer just a day after learning he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. In just a day of learning the diagnosis, more than $50,000 has poured in for Worcester Officer Iggy Garcia, according to a GoFundMe page. A 17-year veteran of the force, Garcia is set to begin treatment at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, the page said.
