2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season Predictions Released: Elevated Risk For US Impacts Experts have just released their predictions for the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, and while the total number of storms is not expected to break records, the risk for significant US impacts is expected to remain elevated. The season runs from Monday, June 1, through Monday, Nov. 30. AccuWeather is forecasting 11-16 named storms, four to seven hurricanes, and two to four major hurricanes of Category 3 or higher.
