Fairfield Elementary Student Crossing Roadway Struck By Car A Fairfield County elementary school student was struck by a vehicle crossing the street to reach their bus stop.  The incident occurred in Fairfield around 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, in the area of Nichols Avenue and First Street.  According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police, the student, was transported to the hospital for evaluation for what appeared to be minor injuries at this time.
