Troopers Search For Attempted Murder Suspect In Woods Off Mass Pike Massachusetts State Police report that a man wanted for attempted murder is believed to have fled into a wooded area following an effort to arrest him. The incident took place around 8 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, after members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Troop C patrols attempted to arrest an unidentified man wanted on numerous warrants on charges that include assault and attempted murder.  The suspect is believed to have fled on foot in Worcester County into the woods near the Charlton Plaza on the Massachusetts Turnpike, state police said.
