Body Of Missing Western Mass Man Found In River, Police Say The body of a missing man has been recovered from a river in Western Mass. The discovery took place around 6:45 p.m., Saturday, May 15, when Springfield Police responded to Indian Orchard for a report of a missing adult male, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield PD.  The man's body was located and recovered from the Chicopee River in Springfield, Walsh said. "Detectives will conduct an unattended death investigation," Walsh said. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death, he added.

William Parker, age 22, of Springfield, was shot around 545 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, in the area of College and Shattuck Streets in Springfield, according to Jim Leydon with the Hampden District Attorney's Office.  Parker was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment but died later that night.
