Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Area The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the region. It lasts through 10 p.m. Thursday, July 23. Showers and thunderstorms are starting to pop up across the area and are moving west to east.  Some of these storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds as well as one-inch hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.
