2 Hit By Pickpocket At Darien Trader Joe's, Police Say Two people in a week have been the victim of a pickpocket at a Fairfield County Trader Joe's. The first incident occurred on Monday, April 1, at the store at 436 Post Road in Darien. According to Sgt. The fire occurred in New Canaan on White Shade Oak Lane around 11:40 p.m., Monday, April 8. According to Jill Stayman with the New Canaan Fire Department, the fire started at the rear of the two-car garage and extended into the attic area above it. The three occupants in the home were alerted to the fire when the smoke detector was activated. Man Accused Of Shooting Victim At Norwalk Home A Connecticut man has been charged in connection to a shooting at a home in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Norwalk in January at an East Norwalk home. According to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police, the victim was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and transported to Norwalk Hospital. FDA Recalls Oysters After Norovirus Outbreak The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled oysters grown and harvested in Connecticut following an outbreak of norovirus. In a notice on Thursday, March 14, the FDA said the outbreak was caused by oysters sold by Norwalk-based Norm Bloom and Son harvested in February. Although the FDA did not give many how many people were sickened, they did reveal the contaminated batch was associated with an outbreak in Minnesota.
