Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train An investigation is underway after a person was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in the region. A pedestrian on the tracks in Fairfield County at the Greenwich Metro-North station was struck by the westbound train at about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, according to MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North New Haven Line Train A man standing on the train tracks was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in Connecticut. According to Dave Steckel, with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the "unauthorized man" was on the tracks around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, just west of Milford in New Haven County when he was struck and killed by the train. Steckel said the incident was not accidental and no criminality is suspected. 45-Year-Old Dead After Jumping From Metro-North Train This story has been updated. Train service has resumed after a 45-year-old man jumped from a Metro-North train. The incident took place at approximately 11:27 a.m., Thursday, May 6, as the westbound train was traveling in Fairfield County between Westport and East Norwalk, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA. Metro-North Service Suspended As Snow Becomes Heavier During Nor'easter Metro-North trains will be temporarily suspending service as the rate of snowfall during the Nor'easter has become heavier, creating potential travel hazards.
