23-Year-Old Driving Under Influence Repeatedly Crashes Into New Canaan House, Police Say A 23-year-old man was allegedly under the influence when he repeatedly drove into a home before attempting to flee in Fairfield County, police said. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department received a report shortly before 4 a.m. when a driver - later identified as New Canaan resident Ryan Rothfuss -repeatedly crashed his vehicle into a Hoyt Street home. Police said that after striking the residence multiple times, Rothfuss attempted to flee before he was stopped in his vehicle on Main Street near the intersection of Morse Court.
