Covid-19: Positive Case Leads To School Closure In Fairfield County A new confirmed case of COVID-19 has led to a school closure in Fairfield County. The Fairfield Public School District reported on Wednesday, Oct. 14 that an individual at Riverfield Elementary School has tested positive. Covid-19: High School In Fairfield County Closes Again After New Cases The number of students at Fairfield Ludlowe High School testing positive for COVID-19 has jumped, forcing dozens into quarantine and the closure of the building. Fairfield Public Schools Superintendent Mike Cummings said that the high school will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 1 due to three more confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in students or staffers.
