Man Wins $785,000 In CT Lottery
A Connecticut man cashed in a near million-dollar CT Lottery ticket that was sold from an area package store.
On Friday, Dec. 3 In Hartford County, Windsor resident Christopher Wujek won a $785,000 “MEGA Multiplier!” CT Lottery ticket that was sold to him at the Deerfield Package on Deerfield Road in Windsor.
Wujek wasn’t the only CT Lottery player to claim six-figure prizes.

Fairfield County Car Thief Rams Vehicles, Drives Into Oncoming Traffic, Police Say
Three Fairfield County men have been arrested after allegedly crashing into several police vehicles at the Westfield Trumbull Mall as they attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle.
During the incident, which took place on Monday, July 26, Dominique Reid, age 23, of Bridgeport, fled in the stolen Audi to avoid immediate capture, however, Hector Delgado, age 24, and Xavier Rondon, age 29, also of Bridgeport were immediately taken into police custody in the Westfield Mall parking lot, said Lieutenant Brian D. Weir.

Lord & Taylor Closing 24 Department Stores Mostly In CT, NY, NJ, MA
Department Store chain Lord & Taylor has announced the closure of 24 more of its stores - many of them located in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
Lord & Taylor filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in August. The retail giant, which was established in 1826, joins other chains that couldn’t survive the tragic COVID-19 economy. Other bigs that are closing shops across the country include J.C. Penny, Pier One, and Brooks Brothers.
So far this year, 6,000 department stores in the U.S. have been permanently closed, according to Coresight Research.
