Tragedy: 2 Young Children From Fairfield County ID'd After Horrific Fatal Crash Two children ages 3 and 6 were killed and several people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle Connecticut crash. The crash took place in western New Haven County around 3:30 p.m. Sunday,  Feb. 4 in Beacon Falls in the northbound lanes of Route 8. According To Connecticut State Police, a Honda Civic, with two adults and two children, and a Ford F-600 with one adult were traveling in the left lane of two on Route 8 when the Ford ran into the back of the Civic.
