Bridgeport Man Nabbed For Stabbing Victim In Chest, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly stabbing another person in the chest. The incident occurred in Bridgeport at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, near the intersection of Middle Street and John Street.  According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responding to a possible shooting found that a person had been stabbed in the chest and were on their way to a hospital. Man Accused Of Threatening DCF Guard With Gun In Bridgeport A 26-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after he allegedly threatened a security guard with a gun at the State Department of Children and Families offices. Good Samaritan Helps Catch Fairfield County Man Who Snatched Purse From Elderly Woman A Fairfield County man was nabbed with the help of a Good Samaritan for allegedly pushing down an elderly woman and stealing her purse. The incident took place around 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, while Bridgeport Police officers were on the scene of a call for service and two men ran by and one told them the first man had committed the robbery, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
