Locals reported hearing thunder-like booms and rattling just after 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, July 16.  The USGS ruled out earthquakes, and residents across the tri-state reported witnessing fireballs to the American Meteor Society. Like his pals, Malik Baker, age 29, of Vauxhall, New Jersey, took a deal from the government, pleading guilty in federal court in Newark on Thursday to conspiring to transport stolen vehicles in interstate commerce and receiving a stolen vehicle that had crossed state lines after being stolen. Gannett-Owned Newspaper Under Fire For Inflammatory Photo Caption New Jersey's third-largest newspaper has attracted some national headlines of its own over an inflammatory photo caption.  It was published by the Gannett-owned Asbury Park Press on Saturday, March 20, and deleted from the media company's website on Sunday, March 21. The offensive photo caption identified “a f–king hot nurse” administering a COVID vaccine.
