'Do The 9 P.M. Routine,' Police Warn After 2 Vehicles Stolen Overnight In Easton Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after two vehicles were stolen overnight in Fairfield County. The two vehicles were stolen overnight on May 15 or May 16 in the Lower Easton area, said the Easton Police Department. One vehicle was located due to a GPS device, police said. Officers said residents should do the "9 P.M." routine where they lock all vehicles and doors to their homes at 9 p.m. each night.  In addition, if you have a GPS location device in your vehicle, make sure it is active.

Jewelry, Handbags Stolen From Fairfield County Home, Police Say Police have asked the public for information after handbags and jewelry were stolen from a Fairfield County home. The New Canaan Police Department said authorities received a report of a burglary at a home on White Oak Shade Road at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21. A resident reportedly arrived home and saw that the patio door in the back of the home was broken. Police said the alarm system wasn't activated at the home, and the patio door wasn't alarmed. Investigators asked that anyone with information about the case call 203-594-3522.

Suspects Caught On Video Attempting To Break Into Cars In Driveway Of New Canaan Home Police are warning residents again to lock their vehicles after video surveillance showed two suspects attempting to enter two locked vehicles. The incident took place around 2 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, in New Canaan. Vehicles were entered and attempts were made to enter other locked vehicles, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
