These Connecticut Counties Among Healthiest In Nation, New Report Says
When it comes to the healthiest locales in the United States, several counties in Connecticut are faring quite well, according to a new ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
The outlet analyzed nearly 3,000 US counties on metrics it said shape and show the health of a community, like public safety, access to healthcare, educational equity, income, housing affordability, food availability, and nutrition.
Analysts then used that data to rank the 500 healthiest communities in the country across 10 categories on a scale of zero to 100.

Covid-19: Here's Latest CT Positivity Testing Rate, Other New Data
The positivity rate for COVID-19 testing has remained steady in Connecticut.
From Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 19, 27,323 tests were administered with 162 coming back positive (0.59 percent positivity rate).
During that time, there were 10 COVID-related deaths in the state.
A total of 54 patients are hospitalized for COVID, a decline of 12 since Thursday, July 16, and the lowest number since March 23.

CT Covid-19 Hospitalizations Fall Again: Latest Rundown Of Cases By Town, City, County
Hospitalizations related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continued to decrease in Connecticut.
There are now1,445 people currently hospitalized as of Wednesday afternoon, May 6. That's a drop of 55 patients from a day before.
The number of cases went up to 30,995, an increase of 374, and there were 85 new COVID deaths, bringing the total during the pandemic to 2,718, an increase of 85 from a day earlier.
A total of 111,447 tests have been done, with 2,804 being completed since Tuesday, May 5.
