$20 Million Fairfield County High-Rise Saved From Destruction By Firefighters
A $20 million high-rise apartment building was saved from being destroyed in Fairfield County by quick-working firefighters. The fire, at the Alto Fairfield Metro Complex on Kings Highway, in Fairfield, began around 9:47 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, the Fairfield Fire Department said. Fighterfightes received word that the fire started on the roof-top deck and arrived on the scene within four minutes, the department said. Fire-fighting officials have closed the case on the cause of a fire that ripped through a local, internationally-recognized dance performance space in November. On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Peter J.
