19: Rise In CT Cases Among Young Adults Sparks Concern
A new rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in younger people has officials in Connecticut concerned. According to the state Department of Health, during the week of Sunday, July 5, people between the ages of 20 and 29 had the highest infection rate, seconded by people aged between 30 and 39. The latest numbers are in stark contrast to the previous three months, when the group was the fourth-largest and those over 80 years old were the second-biggest group. 19: Ridgefield First Selectman Tests Positive For Second Time
Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi has been battling the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) since the first week of April. Marconi tested positive for the second time on Friday, May 1, town officials announced. Marconi said he wants to assure town residents that he is doing great and feels fully recovered after his serious bout with COVID-19. With 58 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) now being reported in Ridgefield, Connecticut, the town is asking anyone from New York City to self-quarantine for 14 days. With the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases jumping by eight in one day in Ridgefield, from 34 to 42, officials are introducing stricter measures. Health Director Ed Briggs confirmed on the numbers on Wednesday, March 25, adding that there had been one death not associated with a senior care facility on Route 7.
