Alert Issued For Teenage Mother, Baby Who've Gone Missing In Fairfield County Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help locating a young mother and her infant son who have been missing for nine days. On Wednesday, July 27, 15-year-old Emily Benitez and her 5-month-old infant son Oliver Ortiz, of Bridgeport, were reported missing by the family’s state Department of Children and Families case worker, said Capt. Worker Injured After Fall At Fairfield University A worker was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a fall at a Fairfield County university. The incident took place in Fairfield at Fairfield University around 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, May 31. The Fairfield emergency communications center received a call for a worker that had fallen through a roof on the Fairfield University campus, said the Fairfield Fire Department. Covid-19: Large Gathering 'May Have Done Enough To Shut Down Campus,' Syracuse University Says A large gathering of first-year students at Syracuse University in violation of the school’s COVID-19 guidelines could lead to a campus shutdown, officials said. On Wednesday, Aug. 19, the crowd of more than 100 students were documented failing to socially distance themselves or wear face coverings on the school’s quad.
