CT Boat Accident Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Missing A man is dead, and two people are still missing following a boat accident in Connecticut. The incident occurred in Middlesex County in Old Saybrook around 9:15 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2. According to Will Healey, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Police, multiple agencies responded and found a single motorboat floating, half-submerged, near the Harbor One Marina in Old Saybrook. Dashon Johnson, age 41, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 18, on a warrant following an investigation into drug sales in the area, said the Connecticut State Police. Johnson, who is a convicted felon, was allegedly selling drugs from his home on Lenox Avenue in Bridgeport, state police said. Hiker With Bad Bee-Sting Reaction Saved By First Responders A hiker with a severe reaction to bee stings was saved from hiking trails in Hartford County. Firefighters in Burlington said they were alerted to a distressed hiker Saturday, Aug. 15 at around 11 a.m. They responded to the blue-yellow trail on the Torys Den Hiking Trail. The 911 dispatcher was able to track the location of the hiker using the caller’s GPS phone location and emergency responders were able to find the woman in times to provide medical care.
