Victory Celebration Set For NCAA Champion Quinnipiac Men's Hockey Team
Fans of the Quinnipiac University men's hockey team will soon be gathering en masse to celebrate the team's first-ever stunning overtime win at the 2023 NCAA Division I national championship. A rally will be held by the university at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at the M&T Bank Arena in Hamden at 305 Sherman Ave. and will celebrate the Bobcats' win over the Minnesota Gophers in the national championship game held on Saturday, April 8. Lamont Signs Legislation Allowing Student-Athletes In CT To Benefit From Their Names, Likeness
Student-athletes in Connecticut have become the latest to be permitted to profit from their names and likeness, bucking a longstanding and much-maligned NCAA bylaw. On Wednesday, June 30, Gov. 19: UConn Football Calls Time Out After Players Contract Virus
The UConn Football team has called for a time-out after six of its players came down with COVID-19. The University of Connecticut announced Thursday, Aug. 20, that the football players had tested positive for COVID-19 and that the students are in quarantine. “We feel that temporarily pausing football activities is the best course of action for the team and the campus,” said David Benedict, UConn’s director of athletics.
