A high school science teacher from New York who worked in Connecticut and was also an award-winning athlete is being remembered by her community. Northern Westchester resident Amy Bridget (nee Cleary) Dillane, a resident of Pleasantville, died on Sunday, Dec. 10 at the age of 48 following an eight-year battle with cancer, according to her obituary. Employees and customers of a popular Fairfield County pizzeria were thrilled when former President Bill Clinton stopped in for a quick bite. Clinton and his security detail visited Papa Al's Pizza in Newtown to the delight of all, said Chef Dritan Hodza. Surviving Officer Shot In Double-Fatal CT Incident Graduated From HS In Northern Westchester
The surviving Connecticut police officer injured while responding to a call that killed two of his fellow officers is a native New Yorker who graduated from high school in Northern Westchester. Alec Iurato, age 26, now a resident of Bristol in Hartford County, graduated from Yorktown High School in 2014. Police will be increasing social distancing enforcement after a cluster of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases linked to the graduation ceremony in Northern Westchester County at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua.
