3 Pulled From Long Island Sound After Boat Sinks; 1 In Critical Condition Three people were pulled from Long Island Sound after the boat they were on sank on Monday, Nov. 4, authorities said. CT Boat Accident Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Missing A man is dead, and two people are still missing following a boat accident in Connecticut. The incident occurred in Middlesex County in Old Saybrook around 9:15 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2. According to Will Healey, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Police, multiple agencies responded and found a single motorboat floating, half-submerged, near the Harbor One Marina in Old Saybrook. Three Rescued From Capsized Boat Off Darien Coast Three boaters were rescued in Fairfield County after their boat overturned, leaving them stranded. The Darien Police Marine Division was hailed shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 26 alerting them of a sinking 23-foot Donzi in Ziegler’s Cove. Police said that when the boat arrived at the scene, they found the overturned vessel partially submerged with three stranded boaters.
