Duo Nabbed In Jewelry Store Burglaries Targeting Hudson Valley Businesses
Two suspects are behind bars in connection with a string of jewelry store burglaries that targeted businesses in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. In Dutchess County, police were called at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, for a burglary in progress in Beacon at Sky Diamond Jewelers on Main Street. As officers arrived, the suspects were seen driving away from the scene. Officers initially pursued the vehicle onto the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge but called off the chase “due to the unsafe speeds,” Beacon Police said. 15-Year-Old Girl Killed In I-684 Crash
New York State Police are investigating after a 15-year-old girl was killed during a two-vehicle crash. It happened around 1:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 20 on I-684 in Westchester near the I-287 merger in Harrison. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, officers responded to the crash which occurred when the driver of a 2018 Hyundai Sonata hit a median guide rail and was later struck by a second vehicle. A Hudson Valley woman is suing Kellogg's in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit alleging its "Whole Grain Frosted Strawberry" Pop-Tarts are deceiving consumers because they don't have enough strawberries. Two members of the far-right Proud Boys group from New York, including a Hudson Valley resident, are the first people involved in the deadly pro-Trump rampage on the United States Capitol to face federal conspiracy charges. MTA Worker From Hudson Valley Suspended For Allegedly Calling In Sick To Attend Capitol Riots
A Metro-North worker who lives and works in the Hudson Valley who allegedly called in sick to be part of the pro-Trump riots at the United States Capitol has been suspended.
