Fight At Stratford Gym Ends With Gun Drawn, 2 Arrests, Police Say Two Fairfield County men were arrested after getting into a fight at a popular Stratford gym with one pulling a gun. The incident took place in Stratford around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at the Esporta Fitness located at the 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff. According to Capt. Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police, officers responded to the gym for a disturbance call. During the incident, one of the people involved, Emmanuel Rivera, age 21, of Bridgeport pulled a firearm and threatened the other in the gym, Eannotti said. Man Killed, Woman Injured, During Shooting In Fairfield County, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating a homicide of a man and the shooting of a woman. The shootings were uncovered around 1 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, when the Stratford Police Department responded to Light Street near Barnum Avenue. The unidentified man and woman were shot by an unknown assailant, According to Capt Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
