Uber Driver Shot Nearby Amazon Facility In Stratford, Police Say A Fairfield County man who is subcontracted for Amazon has been charged with allegedly shooting an Uber driver. The incident took in Stratford around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in the 400 block of Long Beach Boulevard, said Capt. Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police. According to police, the Uber driver drove Anthony Vann, age 26, of Bridgeport, to the Amazon facility where there was some type of confrontation and Vann shot the driver.
