CT Teen Undergoes Emergency Surgery In Third Shooting In 3 Days A 17-year-old Connecticut boy is recuperating after undergoing emergency surgery following a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. It was the third shooting in New Haven this week, police said.  Officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 5:45 p.m. near Sherman and Edgewood Avenues, where they found the boy suffering from a bullet wound, New Haven police said.  Paramedics rushed the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life. Shooting At CT Apartment Complex Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Wounded A shooting at a Connecticut apartment complex has left one man dead and another wounded. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 6:20 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, in Waterbury at 47 Armand Drive. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, a report of gunshots sent officers to an apartment complex where they found a 65-year-old man injured inside his unit. A second victim, a 73-year-old Waterbury man, was found dead in the common area of the building, Bessette said.
