Police in New Haven have released a sketch of a man they say sexually assaulted a woman while she was jogging on a trail near Fort Hale Dog Park last weekend. Authorities said the attack happened on a trail south of the park, near Townsend Avenue, between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. Authorities have identified the body of a 35-year-old woman found in a Connecticut cemetery on Friday, May 2, and confirmed she was the victim of a homicide. The body of Naysha Mendez was discovered at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, officials said. A man who regularly walks his dog through the Ella T. A Connecticut man was fatally shot earlier this week, prompting police to ask for the public’s help in solving the case. Christopher Santana, 25, was killed in a rear parking lot at 730 George Street in New Haven shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, authorities said. Man Found Dead In CT Stream Was Strangled, Police Say
The death of a Connecticut man who was found face down in a stream has been ruled a homicide by strangulation by the state Medical Examiner's Office. The New Haven man, identified as Miguel Rivera, age 62, was found in a stream around 7:10 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in a stream in the area of Hemingway Street.
