She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Fire Damages Orangeburg Home Firefighters from six Hudson Valley fire departments saved a home after an automatic fire alarm sent help to the scene. The Rockland County blaze occurred in Orangeburg, at 96 Old Orangeburg Road, on Monday, Dec. 2. Orangeburg Police Capt. Michael Shannon said the fire was initially triggered by an automatic alarm. When firefighters arrived, they found flames that had damaged two rooms of the home. Tragic Incident In Callicoon: Man Electrocuted After Vehicle Entangles With Electrical Wires A 28-year-old man from the region was killed when his car became entangled in downed electrical wires. The incident occurred in Sullivan County on Friday, Nov. 22, at about 6:20 am, in the town of Callicoon. According to Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies at the scene found a gray 2015 Chrysler 300, which had approached a downed tree across the roadway and then attempted to turn around. Duo Nabbed For Stealing Thousands From Target In Clifton Park: Police State Police in the region apprehended a man and a woman on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy following a theft at a Target store. Duo On Loose After Stealing Truck, Ramming Cruiser In Brainard: Police The New York State Police are searching for two men on foot in the region who allegedly stole a truck and rammed a trooper's cruiser. The accident occurred on the Columbia and Rensselaer county lines near Route 20 and Route 66 in the hamlet of Brainard in the Village of East Nassau. According to State Police, the two men allegedly stole the truck and then rammed a troop car while a trooper was getting into the vehicle. Tuxedo Park Cadet Among Elite Group Of West Point’s Rhodes Scholars Heading To Oxford A West Point grad from the region is one of only 32 students nationwide to be awarded a Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford in the fall of 2025.
