Officers ID Teen Behind Mass Shooting At Waterbury Mall; Police Still Looking For Gun
Police say a 19-year-old man, who was out on bail, is responsible for the mass shooting at a Waterbury mall on Tuesday, May 27, that sent five people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Tajuan Washington, of Waterbury, is charged with five counts of first-degree assault, risk of injury to a child, criminal use of a weapon, illegal discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment in the first degree, carrying a pistol without a permit, and illegal possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, Waterury police said.
Washington is being held on a $2 million bond.
