Police ID Man, 40, Found Dead In Abandoned CT Building Waterbury police have identified the body found inside an abandoned building over the weekend as a 40-year-old Torrington man.  Joseph McCarthy was found just before 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, at a building at 215 Cherry St. in Waterbury, police said.  Waterbury officers said there were no suspicious circumstances and are treating it as an untimely death.  The investigation is ongoing.
