A Maryland teenager who wrote a 129-page manifesto fantasizing about carrying out a school shooting in Maryland has been sentenced — and his probation will come with rare conditions. Alex Ye, 19, of Rockville, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with all but 12 months suspended, and five years of supervised probation after being convicted of making threats of mass violence, Montgomery County prosecutors announced. Girl Threatened To 'Shoot Up CT High School: Police
A Connecticut teenager who said she would shoot up her high school in a social media message was busted hours after making the threat, authorities said. The FBI contacted administrators in Fairfield County at Stamford High School around 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, after intercepting a message on the social media app Snapchat, Stamford Police said. In the message, a girl wrote she would "shoot up the school."
