Police ID New Britain Man Hit, Killed At Busy West Hartford Intersection Police have identified the man who was hit at a busy West Hartford intersection.  Stephen Mendelsohn, 63, of New Britain, was struck and killed around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and South Main Street, authorities said.  Paramedics attempted CPR at the scene, but they were unable to save his life.  The driver remained at the crash site and is cooperating with police.  West Hartford police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact investigators at 860-523-5203.
