CT Firefighter, Veteran Who 'Lived Life With Intensity, Heart' Killed In I-95 Crash
Authorities have identified a 32-year-old Connecticut firefighter as the motorcyclist who died in a crash on I-95 in Guilford late last week.
Michael Terrio, of Killingworth, a member of the Guilford Fire Department, was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 when he crashed into the back of a Volvo near Exit 59 southbound on Friday, Aug. 22, around 8:45 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.
Paramedics took Terrio to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Volvo’s driver, a 66-year-old man from Freehold, New Jersey, sustained minor injuries in the collision.

34-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Crash After Eluding Cops, CT State Police Say
A motorist suffered serious injuries in a crash after eluding police in Connecticut.
Connecticut State Police said the incident occurred in New London County at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in Colchester.
Tolland County resident David Justin Carnein, age 34, of the town of Tolland, was riding a 2001 Triumph motorcycle recklessly on Lebanon Avenue. Police had previously attempted to stop Carnein, but he fled at a high speed, said state police.
As Carnein approached a Y-shaped intersection with Windham Avenue, he lost control of the motorcycle, police said.

Peter Bienasz, of Plainville in Hartford County, was riding behind a Toyota Prius on Route 72 near the I-84 on-ramp, when he crashed into the back of the car, causing him to slam into a metal guardrail around 12:14 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, Connecticut State Police said. 23-Year-Old Killed In Plainville Wreck After Motorcycle Crashes Into Guardrail: Police
A 23-year-old Connecticut man was killed Thursday, Oct. 24, when he wrecked his motorcycle into a guardrail, authorities said.
Peter Bienasz, of Plainville in Hartford County, was riding behind a Toyota Prius on Route 72 near the I-84 on-ramp, when he crashed into the back of the car, causing him to careen into a metal guardrail around 12:14 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.
