Police in Waterbury are investigating a shots fired incident that happened Wednesday morning, June 18, on Woodlawn Terrace, authorities said. Officers responded around 10 a.m. to the area of 203 Woodlawn Terrace after receiving reports of gunfire, the Waterbury Police Department said in a news release. Police ID Man, 40, Found Dead In Abandoned CT Building
Waterbury police have identified the body found inside an abandoned building over the weekend as a 40-year-old Torrington man. Joseph McCarthy was found just before 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, at a building at 215 Cherry St. in Waterbury, police said. Waterbury officers said there were no suspicious circumstances and are treating it as an untimely death. The investigation is ongoing.

President's Burlington Home Sparks Police Investigation
State police are investigating after someone mailed an envelope of unknown white powder to the home of a state college president this week, authorities said. Central Connecticut State University President Zulma Toro received the package on Friday, June 6, at her Burlington home around 7:30 p.m., CT Insider reported. A haz-mat team was called to remove the letter, which had no return address. Paramedics checked on Toro at her home and determined she did not need to go to the hospital, authorities said. Man Jumps To Death From Parking Garage At Boston Medical Center: Police
Police are investigating after a man jumped to his death from the parking garage used by the Boston Medical Center and Boston University Medical Campus on Wednesday morning, May 28. Boston police received a report of a jumper around 8:45 a.m. at 710 Albany Street, which is listed as the visitor and patient parking garage. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
