2 Killed In Violent Wethersfield Crash; Driver Accused of Drunk Driving
Two people were killed after a violent crash in Connecticut, and the driver is now facing charges of driving under the influence, police said.
Alexis Garcia, 22, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged after a single-car crash on Route 5/15 in Wethersfield shortly before midnight on Friday, Oct. 3, according to Connecticut State Police.
Investigators said Garcia's Infiniti sedan veered off the highway near Exit 85 and struck a metal guardrail. The vehicle flipped and rolled down an embankment, landing crushed at the bottom.

An argument between friends escalated into a grisly stabbing incident earlier this week when an intoxicated man, wielding two knives, attacked another, authorities said.
Alan Frazier, 44, of Jewett City, faces charges of second-degree assault, threatening, and reckless endangerment following the alleged attack on Dec. 18, Connecticut State Police said.

Oscar Espejo-Gonzalez, of Bridgeport, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, illegal alteration of a firearm, illegally carrying a gun while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first-degree threatening, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment in the first-degree, authorities said.

Unruly Man, 74, Charged With DUI At Private Darien Club, Police Say
An unruly 74-year-old man was charged with allegedly driving while intoxicated after police were called to a private Fairfield County beach club.
Peter Welsh, of Middlesex County in Marlborough, Massachusetts, was arrested on Wednesday, June 19, at the Tokeneke Beach Club in Darien.
According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, officers were called to the club on a report of a possible unruly, intoxicated man.
Officers identified the individual as Welsh, who exhibited signs of intoxication and had a small laceration on his arm, Vigil said.
