Man Dies After Drowning In Rocky Hill Pool A man has died after drowning in a pool, and despite efforts to save his life, authorities announced.  The unnamed man suffered an emergency in the Cold Spring Road pool around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10.  Paramedics performed CPR on him for 20 minutes as they raced to an area hospital, but responders and doctors were unable to save his life, police said.  Rocky Hill police believe the man's death was accidental, but they are investigating the matter.

4 Hospitalized After Car Careens Off I-91 Near CT State Line Authorities are asking drivers to be careful after the second major crash happened on I-91 in Longmeadow in 48 hours.  The most recent crash happened Tuesday afternoon, July 1, when a car left the interstate near the Connecticut state line and rolled over into a tree, Longmeadow firefighters said.  All four people inside were taken to area hospitals. The car was shredded in the crash, but miraculously, no one suffered any life-threatening injuries.  This is the second serious crash in Longmeadow in as many days.
