Man Nabbed For DWI After Driving Across Darien Front Yard, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged DWI at twice the legal limit after he allegedly drove across the front yard of a home. The incident occurred in Darien on Friday, July 5, on Midbrook Lane. According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, Elder Rodriguez, age 32, of Bridgeport, was charged after officers responded to a resident's complaint of a car driving across his front yard. Unruly Man, 74, Charged With DUI At Private Darien Club, Police Say An unruly 74-year-old man was charged with allegedly driving while intoxicated after police were called to a private Fairfield County beach club. Peter Welsh, of Middlesex County in Marlborough, Massachusetts, was arrested on Wednesday, June 19, at the Tokeneke Beach Club in Darien.
