Last Call: Iconic American Beer Brand Being Discontinued After 177 Years The last pint of an iconic beer that "made Milwaukee famous" will soon be poured after 177 years. Schlitz is being discontinued by parent company Pabst Brewing Company, Milwaukee Magazine reported. Pabst confirmed the move after Wisconsin Brewing Company announced that it will brew "the last Schlitz" at its brewery in Verona, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 23.
