Police ID Burlington Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash As 43-Year-Old Police have identified the Connecticut motorcyclist killed in a Bristol crash over the weekend. Grant Clemo, 43, of Burlington, died after he lost control of his motorcycle in the area of Cindy Lane shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24. According to investigators, “one of the operators failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway, crashing their motorcycle.” Clemo was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A second motorcyclist riding nearby was involved in the crash but was not seriously injured. They spoke with police at the scene. The crash remains unde…

White Powder Mailed To Ccsu President's Burlington Home Sparks Police Investigation State police are investigating after someone mailed an envelope of unknown white powder to the home of a state college president this week, authorities said.  Central Connecticut State University President Zulma Toro received the package on Friday, June 6, at her Burlington home around 7:30 p.m., CT Insider reported.  A haz-mat team was called to remove the letter, which had no return address. Paramedics checked on Toro at her home and determined she did not need to go to the hospital, authorities said.  The incident remains under investigation.

2 Killed In Fiery Crash After Car Careens Into Tree In Burlington Two people were killed this weekend in a fiery car crash in Hartford County, authorities said.  A Ford Taurus crashed near 61 Johnnycake Mountain Road in Burlington just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, Connecticut State Police said.  The Ford veered onto the shoulder of the road for an unknown reason before hitting a mailbox and being launched into a tree, police said. Did You Lose A Giant Snake At Canton Landmark? Police Want A Word Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help to track down the people who left a ball python at a reservoir in Hartford County.  Video from the Nepaug Reservoir off Route 202 in Canton showed several people dumping the snake and running away just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, Burlington and Canton Animal Control said in a Facebook post.
