Police in Connecticut have arrested a man who they say struck a high school sophomore on his bicycle, carrying him on top of his car for four miles, before shoving him off into the roadway.

A victim in Braintree, MA, told police Saturday, Oct. 5 that the 29-year-old New England Patriots safety became upset when someone called her phone while they were having sex, NBC10 says citing a police report.

A Connecticut businessman who admitted to hiding cash from the government for a decade was sentenced to a year and a day in prison and had to pay more than $200,000, federal authorities said.
Vishal Dhar, age 56, of New Canaan in Fairfield County, pleaded guilty to tax evasion in May and was sentenced on Monday, Oct, 7, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. He must serve two years of probation after he is released.

A 56-year-old Connecticut man was shot and killed after shouting at strangers in an apartment building and waving a machete, authorities said.
John Reynolds, of New Haven, was killed around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, in the Bella Vista Apartments at 321 Eastern St. in New Haven, police said.
Several people called 911 to report Reynolds was banging on apartment doors and waving a machete, authorities said.
