Police in Fairfield County are investigating and searching for a suspect after a person was shot and seriously injured on a city street. The incident occurred in Norwalk at around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the area of Strawberry Hill Avenue and Catalpa Street. According to Norwalk Police Officer Sgt. Four people who were not wearing life jackets were rescued from the waters of the Long Island Sound in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Norwalk on Saturday, Aug. 3. A shark sighting kept swimmers out of the water at three New York beaches. The sighting was reported on Long Island at Nickerson Beach in Nassau County.
