Record Travel Expected This Thanksgiving: Here Are Best, Worst Times To Hit Road
Expect plenty of company on the roads as you head to grandma’s house. A record 79.9 million travelers are expected to head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, AAA forecasts. That’s up 1.7 million over last year. Busy Roadway Across CT Dam Reopens To Traffic After Flood Damage Repairs
Part of a busy roadway carrying traffic across a dam in Connecticut has been reopened after being damaged by severe flooding, officials announced. Route 34 in the Fairfield County town of Monroe and New Haven County town of Oxford between Route 111 and Coppermine Road has been reopened after suffering damage from flooding on Sunday, Aug. 18, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday, Aug. 27. 30-Year-Old York Mom Killed In US Rt 30 Crash ID'd: Lancaster Coroner
A 30-year-old mom woman is dead following a multiple-vehicle crash involving entrapment that closed all lanes of US Route 30 East in part of Lancaster County, authorities announced on Tuesday, June 4. Dayanara Santiago most recently lived in the 200 block of South Duke Street of York City, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber. Her cause of death was Multiple Traumatic Injuries and the manner ruled Accidental.
