Speeding, Weaving Motorist Nabbed For DUI On CT Roadway, Police Say A Fairfield County man driving a 2024 Lexus NX 350 was nabbed for alleged DUI and other charges after he was spotted by police speeding and weaving. John Tacconi, age 66, of Norwalk, was charged in Wilton on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on Danbury Road. According to Wilton Police Deputy Chief Robert Cipolla, an officer clocked Tacconi traveling at 60 mph in a 40 mph zone on Danbury Road and weaving in and out of the double yellow line. CT Man Nabbed Driving 118 MPH On I-84, Police Say A Connecticut man was nabbed allegedly driving 118 mph in a 65 mph zone on a busy interstate roadway. The incident occurred in Tolland County at 9:40 p.m., Monday, Aug. 12, in the eastbound lanes of I-84 in Vernon near Exit 66. According to the Connecticut State Police, a trooper assigned to Troop C in Tolland was engaged in proactive traffic enforcement efforts on I-84 when he spotted a white Toyota Camry traveling at a high rate of speed in the left lane of three.  State police said that using his laser, the trooper determined that the Toyota was traveling at 118 mph in a posted 65 …

4 Killed In Head-On Crash On CT Roadway Four people were killed in a head-on crash on a Connecticut roadway overnight. The incident happened around 11 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Waterbury on Thomaston Avenue when a car traveling south slammed into a northbound vehicle, causing both vehicles to burst into flames, according to authorities. According to Chief Fernando Spagnolo of the Waterbury Police Department, an investigation determined both vehicles were speeding.
