Body-Cam Video Shows Suspect Fired First In New Haven Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting: Report The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released its preliminary findings in a fatal officer-involved shooting last week and found that the suspect fired at police first.  Jebrell Conley, 36, was shot and killed on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a West Haven car wash on Boston Road.  The New Haven Police Department's Violent Crime Task Force went to arrest Conley around 5 p.m. on an outstanding robbery warrant. At 2:31 a.m., police responded to Doremus Avenue and Port Street on a report of several vehicles driving erratically in the middle of the street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Hartford Teen In Critical Condition, 16-Year-Old Shot In 'Domestic' Attack: Police A 16-year-old Connecticut girl is in critical condition following an early morning shooting Tuesday, Sept. 17, authorities said.  Police were called to a  Hartford County home around 12:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting in Hartford. The address wasn't released to protect the victim as investigators believe this is a "domestic-related" attack.  Hartford police found the girl suffering from a bullet wound. Police Want A Word Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help to track down the people who left a ball python at a reservoir in Hartford County.  Video from the Nepaug Reservoir off Route 202 in Canton showed several people dumping the snake and running away just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, Burlington and Canton Animal Control said in a Facebook post. Police Attempting To Identify Man Involved In CT 'Incident' Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with an "incident."  The Norwalk Police Department is seeking the man's identity who was involved in an incident in Norwalk on Saturday, Aug. 26. Norwalk Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts described the man as a light-skinned Black man, 5-foot-7, 220 to 240 pounds, bald, and clean-shaven. Man Killed, Woman Injured In Single-Vehicle New Britain Crash, Police Say A man was killed, and a woman was injured following a one-car crash in Connecticut.  The crash occurred in Hartford County around 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, in the area of Slater Road near Mitchell Street in New Britain. According to New Britain Police spokeswoman Rachel Zaniewski, when officers arrived, they found the unidentified man unresponsive, and he was later pronounced dead by New Britain EMS on the scene.
