CT Woman, 37, Found Dead Floating In Quinnipiac River Police in Connecticut are investigating after a 37-year-old woman's body was found dead floating in the water of the Quinnipiac River. New Haven Police Officer Christian Bruckhart said the incident occurred in New Haven around 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, near Brewery Square. Bruckhart said the New Haven Fire Department responded with water rescue, and the body was located near James Street and River Streets along the embankment. Man Nabbed In Connection With Death Of Woman Found On Redding Roadway A 50-year-old man faces charges in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman whose body was found in a wooded area of a roadway in Connecticut, police announced.  Fairfield County resident Sergio Reyes-Cordero of Norwalk was extradited from Georgia to Connecticut on Thursday, Aug. 1, and charged in connection with the death of 26-year-old Bridgeport resident Leah Chapparo, Connecticut State Police announced on Friday, Aug. 2.  Chapparo's body was found on Sunday, Feb. 18 on Glen Road (Route 53) in the Fairfield County town of Redding, according to police.  …

Bridgeport Inmate Strangled, Death Rule Homicide, ME Says A Connecticut man who was arrested for violation of probation was strangled in a cell in a Fairfield County jail. Steven Bailey, age 43, of New Haven, was found dead in a Bridgeport Correctional Center cell around 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, according to the Connecticut State Police. Milford Police had arrested Bailey on Wednesday, March 20, and he was being held for violation of probation on a prior conviction of obscenity with a minor.
