Dog Dies In CT House Fire That Displaces 2 A dog was killed in a Connecticut house fire early Thursday morning, Jan. 16, despite the efforts of firefighters and its owner, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to 17 Dairy Road in Norwalk just after midnight to find two residents desperately trying to extinguish flames to save their family dog. They received minor injuries for their efforts.  Crews rushed to help, knocking back flames from the basement spreading into the single-story home above. One Dead, 3 More Hospitalized In CT Fire — 8 Others Displaced: Report An afternoon fire sent three people to the hospital, left one person dead in Connecticut, and displaced four others, a report said.  The blaze began just before 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, on Connecticut Avenue in Bridgeport, according to NBC Connecticut.  The cause of the fire was not released.  Paramedics rushed three people to an area hospital with unknown injuries and a fourth was taken to a morgue, per the report. 15 Left Homeless After Fire Guts CT Home Days Before Christmas A late-night fire tore through a Connecticut home this week, sending one person to the hospital and displacing 15 people, authorities said.  Hartford firefighters received a 911 call around 4:40 a.m. about the blaze at a multi-family home at 62 Adams Street in the Upper Albany neighborhood.  Flames engulfed the home's first floor when crews arrived, but they were to battle them back and get the fire under control.
