CT Women's Shoplifting Spree Ends In New Jersey Police Chase Crash: Cops
A shoplifting incident at an Ulta store in New Jersey led to a police pursuit, a crash, and the arrest of two Connecticut women after a chaotic chase, authorities said. Ramsey police responded to reports of a shoplifting in progress at Ulta, located at 1255 Route 17 South, around 4:09 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, according to Detective Jaclyn Sabatelli. If you think you are seeing things when four historic homes roll by you on a Connecticut roadway, don't worry. They are being moved to make room for a new 9-story parking garage. The move will occur in Hartford on Thursday, Aug. 29, causing traffic to be a mess in certain parts of town. Busy Roadway Across CT Dam Reopens To Traffic After Flood Damage Repairs
Part of a busy roadway carrying traffic across a dam in Connecticut has been reopened after being damaged by severe flooding, officials announced. Route 34 in the Fairfield County town of Monroe and New Haven County town of Oxford between Route 111 and Coppermine Road has been reopened after suffering damage from flooding on Sunday, Aug. 18, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
