William Stonier, of Ledyard, is charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, and second-degree manslaughter, Connecticut State Police said. He was previously charged with driving under the influence and illegal firearm possession while intoxicated. Police said Stonier hit Richard Dupont, of Jewett City, on River Road near the intersection of Lee Road in Lisbon on Oct. 14, 2024. Dupont died at the scene. According …

55-Year-Old ID'd As Man Killed By Suspected Drunk Driver In Lisbon Police have identified the man who was hit and killed earlier this week when a truck went off the side of the road and struck him as he was walking, authorities said.  Richard Dupont, of Jewett City in New London County, was killed on Monday, Oct. 14, as he walked along River Road in Lisbon around 10:30 p.m., State Police said.  William Stonier, of Ledyard, was behind the wheel of the truck. Driver Was Intoxicated When He Hit, Killed Pedestrian In Lisbon: Police A 36-year-old Connecticut man was intoxicated when he crashed his truck into a pedestrian in New London County earlier this week, state police said.  William Stonier, of Ledyard, is charged with driving under the influence and illegal possession of a firearm while intoxicated, Connecticut State Police said.  Investigators said Stonier's Dodge Ram went off of the right side of River Road in Lisbon and crashed into a pedestrian around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12.
